where does this go

hi all, just about to complete my head rebuild by finishing off the inlet manifold side.
lurking beneath all the vacume hoses i have found 2 brown wires with black marking attached to a ring connector, tracing it down it goes into a loom below the egr valve area on the intake manifold side of the vehicle, any one tell me where it goes??????

Hi they look like the EARTH strap that bolts to the back of the head.

The blue bit is not a Toyota connection, the twin wire looks like it could be the -ve for the fuel pump, its suposed to bolt to the back of the block somewhere, people often leave it out when putting the engine back in, then you can't reach the bolt, so then just earth it somewhere else with a extension wire to make it reach.

Does the truck run without it connected? If its the above it won't run. Where does the single wire go?

I found this as photo'd, its a mod by the previous owner as he did a bodge job in trying to replace the head gasket.....long story not a happy ending.

ill put a meter over it to make sure its not a live supply wire, if the general consensus is its an earth then ill go for it and screw it to earth, just dont want to make a mistake that could knacker the ecu ect ect.

If it's what i think it is it used to be bolted at the back of the head, where the kick down cable clamps, i forgot to reconnect mine and just bolted it to the auto trans dip stick clamp, a f**k sight easier to get at,
