A reversing bleeper is kind of unusual .I would try & find the source of the sound & disconnect it. The Japs like all kinds of weird options but that sounds after-market.
Hopefully it's going to be in an easy to reach location.

Mine too, mind you I kind of like mine so I haven't bothered to disconnect it. (I think I must be sick in the head).

        Cheers

It does grow on you. When I first had the surf it drove me nutz. Now I dont notice it until I have to reverse a long distance.

Dead easy to get rid - properly.

Remove the clock cluster - basically remove the top half of the dash to do this - instructions for this are on here
                        http://www.showmesome.info/hilux/workshop/

Once you can get at the back of the cluster you will see a small black box with two terminals, about 1/42 in size. This is bolted with tiny (2 or 3mm) nuts & bolts to the back of the clocks, near the top of the rev counter. Remove it..then bin it.... TADAAAAAAAAAA ! Done.

If you're not sure about the box, pull the dash to peices, clocks plugged in, ignition on, into reverse... it WILL make itself known

Does that just control the reversing beep or all the irritating alarm bells,,chimes, dongs, and beeps?
