  • One-touch electric window

How are they supposed to work on a 2nd gen? My driver's switch is a two stage switch, but you can't use it manually, only one-shot. So to put window down half-way, you push switch fully down to drop the window, then flick it up to the half postion to stop. This doesn't work when bringing the window up, so if you have an open window and want to half-close it, you have a right fiddle to do it.

Sounds like you need a new switch. If I push mine down before the click I can control the operation.

Have you tried that big window switch that looks like a handle?

You partially depress or raise the switch for manual operation. If you're lacking on the side of subtlety a tad, you may just need to be a bit less forceful.

              Probably needs a good clean.

mines the same. except i go down ok, but coming up is the problem. if i want to go half way, i have to go all the way to the top then come back down again.

i want to replace the passenger side switch with an auto up and auto down switch like the drivers side one has. suppose its easy enough

Sounds like you have crud in your switch! Try sucking with the hoover hose directly over the switches or you may need to dismantle the switch and clean.

                      Fixed!

Took it all apart and managed to fix it, all working fine now. As for fitting one-touch to other windows, it doesn't look possible with the existing switchgear.
