does any body know why my radio in the surf crackles and signal comes and goes for about 10 mins untill its warm then it plays perfect its a dvd/cd/tv player fitted about two years ago

Sounds like a slightly loose connection that sorts itself once it warms and expands a little.

Make sure all the battery connections are tight. The alternator may be causing interference, make sure the belts are tensioned correctly and that the electrical plugs on the back or it are secure.

just been out and checked everything all ok put a normal radio in got great reception put other back in bad reception
