"The AS-450 is a light duty planetary 3300lb unit spec'd for the 80's mini trucks. I have one of these in my garage, neat little winch.
The AI-1000 is the next one up, similar to most 8k lb planetary winches.
Last (as far as I know) Ax-xxxx. An Aisin copy/redesign of the Warn 8274.
As one can imagine, these winches are very high quality, completely sealed... they make most aftermarket winches look a bit cheeeeeeseeee."
Obviously if it is the as-450 it appears to have been for the purposes of shifting stuff around rather than self-recovery, as i'm sure most would agree that you would want a minimum 8000lb winch for recovering a 2-tonne truck.
well the motor is a ok and it looks like its the silinoid thats goosed so it looks like its a new winch unless some one out there can put me in the right diraection to get a new silinoid i will post the part number in the morning as it is 0030 hours and the moon lite not the best time it has rained all day so i will post the part number next weekend its a girl dog being away all week roll on friday not worked a saterday: since i got my surf oh i called her lizzie after my late mother cose there 2 tough old birds jester:
