winch
Hi all i am a newbe can someone help the winch will not pay out but it will reel in the bloke who sold me surf tells me .The winch has came factory fited from new.

I think the winch you have may be an Aisin copy ot the Warn 8274. The AS-450 is only rated at 1500KG so don't expect it to get you out of a really sticky situation.
Heres a link to a Warn 8274 rebuild so may help identify parts if it is a copy. Look at pic 22 for how to disengage for freespool.
