heater slide speed switch

Good evening

Just as Murphys law dictates my interior dash fan speed switch has gone up the wall you have to whip it back and forward until you get a connection. can it be re conditioned or is it going to be a new one, been to a few s$$$$ yards but no yard around me has a toyota hilux or a surf or even a 4 runner is there any other car eg corrolla that has an interchangable heater control any pointers would be greatly appreciated

Just replaced mine, dont listen to any dealer nonsense about having to buy the complete control unit @ £140.00 this is bullsh!t / lies.

It cant be repaired 'cos the contacts overheat and melt the housing the switch is available on it's own for £32.00 so no big worry.

cheers for the speedy reply where did you get your switch from was it a toyota spares department.
