    Hello SURF Gurus,

    it's the apprentice again...

we are about to call it an afternoon fun with my daughter when my whitey surf went crazy. When I switched on the key... the panel just went eerie. headlights just came on even if i switched off the key... then that's just it.

when i checked out under the hood, the right headlight seems to be having a short circuit problem (located near the wiper washer reservoir and the right headlight.) then i just smelled burnt wires. when I checked it out with a flashlight, there is this burnt wires.

What could have happened? Could you guys give me a wiring diagram for a
2LT-EFI? My friends told me, I should re-wire everything....

please help... don't want to be surfless this Christmas and this coming new year.

    thanks in advance guys...

You should be able to see the dodgy wires if you unwrap the loom where it looks melted.

I'd look to replace all the burnt stuff, cut and solder new wire in. Check you have the right fuses in, if its to big it won't blow and the wire will take the strain and burn!

Then test each circuit before connecting up the batttery.

Make sure no one has put any screws or bolts through the wiring if some accesorys have been added recently.

if it's near the ends of the wire, then it's probably water damaged...

just cut off the end of it and pop a new bit on
