Front Fog lights

I was clearing out some junk yesterday and I came across a brand new set of fog lights... so I got to thinking that I might chuck them on the front.
I already have the ones that came with the surf... will the wiring be ok if I tap into the feed that runs them? or should I run fresh wiring for the new fogs right up to the switch....
any thoughts?

Personally, if I were gunna run all 4 off the 1 switch, id use a relay to the battery, for 2 or all 4 of them and use the switch to activate the relay.

Yeah would run through a relay to each pair or at least all of them.

I also think that for on road use that you can only have a maximum of 2 on at any one time. Your best bet if you want to have all 4 is to run them on separate circuits and use separate switches (one labeled "off Road lights" so that Mr plod or MOT man don't give you problems.

Also if you are going to use 55 watt bulbs then use a relay for each circuit and at least 10 amp cable (you need a lot greater capacity than you would think because of the resistance over a long run causing heat. I ran my front spots and front fogs on 17 amp cable and had an eart cable melt because of a bad earth (so thats another thing to make sure of.

Personally if I was doing mine now I would run a relay for switching and a seperate relay switched by the main for each lamp. More costly but a big advantage if you want to run 150w bulbs in spot lamps.
