      Might sound silly but have you checked the fader, balance etc.
      On my head unit you can set these differently for radio and CD, I can set the Bass, treble, balance & fader for the radio and then set them up when playing a CD and its stored in the units memory.
      Just a thought?????

            thanks for all the advice guys i finally got the rears working today they were active by the way and sound pukka cheers all P.S. i also sussed out why the aireal wasnt working too woohoo
