Hello, does anyone out there know how to change the dash board light behind the sliding heater control and the heater fan switch ????

Presumably yours is a 3rd gen.
If I remember correctly (only a couple of weeks, but Mum dropped me on my head when a baby) there are leds mounted on a pcb behind the panel. With the longevity of leds, it's unlikely that 4 would fail, so I should look for a loose connector from the lighting circuit.
    Good Luck.

The 3rd gen uses two bulbs to illuminate the panel. The Leds are used to illuminate the buttons.

Let us know which model you need instructions for...... your profile gives no clue......

Never changed em on a 2nd Gen myself, but have a look here for some detail on gaining access http://installdr.com/InstallDocs/Toyota/PDF/869017.pdf
This is a link for a radio install, but covers gaining access to the same area, should be easy enough to remove the heating panel then to check the bulbs.
