glow plug light comes on when car is off

I have just rebuilt my 2.4LT-E and put it back in but know the glow plug light comes on when i turn the car off and turns off when i turn it on.
Is a bit of a problem as I am not to flash with electronics would love you imput

sounds to me like you have mixed your ignition supply into the relay with your comon supply.

When the relay engages (switched ignition on) a light wired in parellel from that is engergised on your control display.

In your case, when you de-energise the supply the contactor is making and thus switching the light on.

I would check with the ignition off to see if you have any power to the bus bar connecting to the glow plugs...............

BE CAREFUL NOT TO SHORT YOUR TEST LEADS ONTO THE HEAD as you will blow the supply fuse.

If they are dead even though the light is still on inside you have crossed the light connection from the relay to the dash..
