Hi all can some one tell me if I have front and rear fog lights do they need separate switches for the purpose of a MOT ? just fitted some on the front and don't want to fit any more switches on the dash. Cheers John

I beleive that's right. However for the purposes of the MOT I do not believe that auxilliary lights have to be functional, so the rear fogs need to work but the front dont. So if you put a disconnect (a push in blade connector or something) in the wire to the front you could leave that disconnected for the MOT, and the front fogs would be 'for off road use only' Ehem.
Of course that's just my opinion. bob in and ask an MOT tester if no one on here is 100% sure. I've walked into our local gargage with a dirtbike tyre over my shoulder to ask if it would pass or fail before I fitted it, and they didn't mind measuring it and checking the testers handbook.
