  • Handbrake Light

My handbrake light is stuck on,it just wouldn't go out one day and has been on ever since.
I've checked the brakes front and back and there is plenty of meat left on the pads and shoes.
Any ideas how to get it to go out?

    check fluid level
if not, then it's most probably the switch sticking down after having coffee spilled on it!

      My Brake light problem sorted

      Howdy,
It's the brake fluid level switch, it gets a high resistance and obviously resistance = current draw, I have just disconnected it under the hood, probably dont need it anyway, and the problem disappeared. Put up with it for a year before sussing it out.....
      Hope this helps

Mine started coming on of it own accord after the Langdale puddles, cleaned out both rear drums and that sorted the light out.
