Radio eviction?

Hi, as a newbie on here I'd like to say how useful i've found the tech tips etc, & what a great site you have.
Does anyone know how to take the original radio out of a late '94 Surf KZN130? I just took it to an auto-electrician for an immobiliser & asked him to swap the original unit for a Sony CD I just bought. When I went to pick it up he'd done the immobiliser ok but said he couldn't get the radio out without the rest of the dash assembly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yep, the center console has to come off on mine, it's dead easy though,

Have a look, but it is really pretty obvious how it comes off when you get down in the footwell with a torch. Not like some cars.
