  • Reset T-Belt Light - 3rd Generation

I'm told this is just changing a couple of screws around behind the dash.

I can't even get the dash trim off!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can anyone tell me what to do. I took the 2 top screws out and removed the 2 bottom screws, it came away at the top but it still would'nt come out?????

If I do get it out, are the reset screws obvious?

    Any advice appreciated.

You shouldn't need to remove the trim to reset the T-Belt light.. If you look on the dash.. Next to the odometer reset/trip there will be a little rubber thing filling a hole in the plastic.. pull this out ten usea pen or such like and push the litle button underneath... its a bit like resettind a calculator or one of those alarm clock things!!

If you do need to remove the dash for some other reason you will find all you need to know at

        Hope this helps

Ok, if I remember correctly (or if you prefer IIRC ).... Remove the two screws from lower edge of trim either side of steering column. Remove screws from upper edge of panel around steering colum, remove panel. Remove small panel around ignition assy. Lower the steering column, remove two screws from upper portion of black surround of dials. Remove two screws from lower edge of the black surround of the dials (previously hidden behind lower panel).
The dials are held in with four screws, remove these and withdraw the clocks a few inches, unclip the three wiring plugs attached to the rear and slide the clocks sour sideways behind the steering wheel. You may have to tilt the upper edge of the clocks rearwards first to easily remove them.
The screw you need to move to reset the T/B light can be seen here
