  • diy fitting of immobiliser

I want an immobiliser but don't trust any of these national monkeys to do it and not make a mess of the job.

I am perfectly capable of doing the job myself but will the insurance still offer me a discount if I am not an approved installer?

Yes you might have an issue with it being certified.
Just to say though the guy who did mine from caralarmsuk was good and very tidy too. Knew his stuff and had done loads of surfs before. He also removed my turbo timer and weird interior light wiring that had been played with.

Anyone know of a decent fitter in Yorkshire? I am in Ilkley.

I can't remember, but I think it was caralarmsuk that came and did mine. The office was in croyden and a bloke travelled from london to do it (in the freezing cold) and did it ourside my work!
