heated rear window not working

Hi
I have just taken my panel off to have a look, and there are two connectors with no wires as they have broken off.

I had a fiddle around and i have found the two wires.
But which one connects to the left and which one to the right???

One wire is white with a black stripe running along the length and a few red circles on it.
The other is black, with red circles.

Not that it matters really as the rear window will still most likely explode

cant believe how common some faults are on these surf's!!!! if it wasn't for this site i'd be lost.......... already sorted my rear demister (brocken wire) and front air blower which neaded greased. keep up the great work guys
