  • Fuse blown

My wife tells me that the rear window has packed up.

I did a quick check and found a fuse had blown (under the bonnet the smaller of the two black covers, there is one 30amp fuse between two relays)

I assume that this fuse is for the window?
The reason I question this assumtion is that the cover had CVS FAN (or something similar) written on it.
If it isn't the window fuse what is it, and more to the point where is the rear window fuse?

    TIA

Thanks for the heads up on the switch, but either the aformentioned fuse is the rear window fuse or I hit the window switch with my elbow as I got in .

The fuse was labelled CDS FAN.
It is a 30 amp fuse of an unusual type. Toyota wanted £5.10 for one.

Tip for others, this type of fuse has a clear window on the top that unclips and you can bodge a fix with fuse wire, which is what I did.

          Yes, the back window.

I have no idea if I also have a fan now working that wasn't before!!

Scratch that it wasn't the fuse. The window works without the fuse in

I will start a new thread to find what the fuse actually does
