Spot lights and battery questions

I'll start with the battery, I only have one in my truck at the moment, but i want to put a second in the space that's supposed to hold it. the question is how do i get the two batteries to charge, drain and opperate seperatly??

Next question, Spot lights with side lights built in, Which wires do i splice to to get them to work with the nomal lights??
