The mirrors on my truck some times worked and sometimes did not.(not that I move them much but its nice to have them working)
I found that in the past somone must have disconected the drivers control unit.
Then put it back together. When doing so they have not looked at the fitting and just shoved it in place.
If you look closely at the end terminals they have holes in for the pins in the switch to go through, giving a solid connection.
Mine were just pushed up to the pins and it meant that one day they would go up and down but not left or right then the next they wold be fine or not work at all.
So If you mirrors do that your switch may not be put together right.
