  • CD Player

I have the Toyota sat nav/tv/cd etc... system in my hilux and after going through all the threads on the sat nav system, I'm resigned to the fact that the satnav wont work, but does anyone know why the CD player doesn't work? It accepts the CDs but doesn't seem to be able to read them.

I intend on getting a replacement for it, but can't afford it yet as just bought the truck and am having an alarm fitted tomorrow, so if anyone can tell me how to get the CD player working in the meantime, that would be great.

Get a lense cleaner and all should be well.
Is the CD player a carrozeria? Seems to be a common problem with them and the lense seems to be a bit far away from the CD itself.

I had the same problem on my CD player - Jap market double din Panasonic combined CD/Cassette/Radio - wouldnt play CD's. Tried a lens cleaner made no difference though. Shame as the rest of the unit is top quality. Even has leads at the back to plug-in mini-disc etc.
