Just popped down to Maplins and bought some 12 volt bulbs to illuminate my various switches, Hazard, Heated rear window etc.I don't know how much they cost from Toyota but they cost me £4.20 inc vat for 10. They are slightly smaller than the origanal but are so far doing the job pretty well! By the way the part number for them if any bodies interested is BT43W Wire Terminal Type Bulb and they are on page 553 of there catalog.Hope this of some help to sombody.

Ahhh
Got a couple of bulbs out in switches in my Lreg 3.0. - rear window heater/idle switch/rear window. Very helpful.
A couple of questions-
do the switches just 'pop' out?
Are the window/door lock etc switches on the drivers door arm rest meant to light up? - if so how do you get to the bulbs please?
Are the bulbs clear or coloured?
Oh- one more, Are the surf's bulbs green or is it a film behind the gauges etc?
Thanks all.

[1. Yes the switches do pop out with a little help from a small flat blade screwdriver and then you will see the bulb holder on the side of the switch, small round grey with a groove in it so you can unscrew it with the small screwdriver.
2. Not sure I had a look yesterday and the only switch that was lit was the drivers side window button.
3. The bulbs are clear for the switches and I belive that the ones for the gauges have a green cover for the bulb. ]
