  • Mystery: Stoppedcrawling at traffic light?

    I have a 3rd gen 2.7 petrol, automatic.

I had it serviced last week, and since then it does no longer 'crawl' after stopping when in D.

This is mainly noticable when the engine is cold.
Even more so, when the engine is called it almost feels like the brakes are on, although the brake pedal isn't pressed.

    Any insights highly appreciated.

check the rear brakes arn't dragging, also the lever for the handbrake can seize in its pivot and jam on, make sure everything moves freely when you pull on the handbrake cable across the back axle.

I checked the hand brake/back brake, no issue there.

Might be the engine ticking over too low...
Strange thing is: If you start from standstill in Reverse you do not have to press the accelerator to get going. If you start from stand still in D you will need to rev a bit to get it going.
As I said, it is worse when you start first time around, gets better when you have driven a bit.

Maybe vacuum pipe to tick over valve off or not seated properly, may even be minor air leak that when mtor running faster clears it self.
