      Honestly I think everything.

I got the truck in November last year and it comes with loads of Mot's and suspension work bills.

I don't have any servicing history, the fuel consumption is really bad and the truck seems not to be that responsive. It starts when it feels like it.

But with all that said its a fun great truck to drive and if I could go back and pick any 4wd truck to cope with the snow it would still be this one.

      What would you recommend doing?

      Thanks

Well for a start I would re-new the air filter, sparkplugs, distributor cap and rotor arm, possibly plug leads too if they're the originals.
That lot should cure the starting issues and get the engine running smoothly again.

Check the condition and level of the transmission fluid (engine warm and running, shift lever in 'P')
Fluid should be red not dark brown.

        Coolant levels and anti-freeze.

Check condition and tension of drivebelts.

Then check the tyre condition and pressures (32 psi).
Grease the universal joints on the propshafts.
Grease the upper and lowewr balljoints if they have grease nipples.
Pull the handbrake on a few times to make sure the rear brake shoes are properly adjusted.

You could check the diff fluids too if you want to go that far.
Apart from the engine, the servicing check list for the drivetrain is the same as for the diesels in the 'sticky' threads.

            i drive 93 v6
            fuel at 1.31per litter
i fill up 25 quid to get to maidstone which is 19litters
            and i get 70 miles.

so for a full tank at about 75 quid i get 210 miles

This is pretty accurate aswell i do the trip twice a week.

but mine is well services and im very very heavy footed..

but on another side of things even when im carefull with my foot and try to drive eco friendly it dosent make sod all difference.
