  • Low idle

My idle has been a bit low for a while now(its about 500rpm when the enine is warm) and i think its probaby not too good for the car, also when on lpg it sometimes stalls so I spent the morning trying to check all the vacume hoses and things and cant find anything wrong with them so in the end I found a longer screw and used that to push the idle up!!

    Is that OK?

    Cheers

Do you mean you gave the idle speed screw a few turns to increase the idle speed? if yes, thats OK.
Adjust it only when the engine is up to temperature and the cold start system has shut off.

      Cheers bushwacker,
The original screw is about 1.3cm in length and was not long enough so I found a longer bolt about 2.5cm in length and so used that.
It does the same thing as screwing the smaller one in further its just that the smaller one is too short.
I dont know if its only that length for a reason and that using a longer screw might be doing some damage else where thats all.

      Cheers
