    hello again, i'm thinking about putting a rover 3.5 ltr v8 in my surf and was wondering if anyone has done this? just want to know what mods have to be made to get one to fit. cheers, huey

      If yours is a manual box you can get a Rover bellhousing that fits the original box otherwise its 2wd.

        dont do it.its a real pain in the a$$ not.there are a few of us that have done the v8 conversion.please feel free to pm me with any questions regarding the conversion.

              Hi all, Can any one tell me if a 2.4 diesel lump will drop straight in to a N reg 3l petrol surf

                  Thanks,

                  The 3l petrols siezed, what are the pros and cons would you change it to a diesel or change the petrol lump
                  any idea on prices ive seen a company on ebay that do recon 2.4's under 30,000 garunteed £800

                    Probably best to stick with petrol to avoid lots of changes to things like fuel tank etc.

                    Get an older v8 - very simple with none of those new fangled computer ECU thingies.

                    Get in touch with surfenstein - he's in Dorsest too!

                    He has been known to help people out occasionally!!!!!!!!!!!!

                              Well i picked up the truck and she's to good to break, engines knackered.

                              Anyone have any suggestions on the cheapist petrol engine i can get that will marry up with the auto gearbox. And where to start looking. Cheers.
