Has anyone put a V8 in a kzn185 3rd gen?

So I see a hell of a lot of talk about putting the LS400 engine in the gen2 surf which just seems like Toyota missed a trick but is it the same for the 3rd? I am reading a few old threads but anyone driving one?

I am happy enough with the dirty derve but I would like to know how much hassle/cost it might be if I happend across an engine and decided to take the plunge.

The thought of the 4.3l V8 in my 3rd makes me go all woBBly inside...

And an LPG set up makes it almost worth the MPG. lol...

That engine won't run unless you get the immobiliser transponder bits and ignition key from the same car, unless you go aftermarket management.

I will read up your build thread. I am going to tune up the 1kz which means it probs wont last as long so having a defined replacement route will sell with the missis much easier!
