Cool cheers Vince, I had read that already but it got lost in all the many many others I have read.
So on closer inspection of the output shaft it seems I have not taken into account the thickness of the cutting disk. Now the output shaft is 2mm shorter than the surfs, in your expert opinion do you think this will cause an issue? If so I will have to get the surf one swapped over = expensive I'm sure, but oh well my on silly fault.
Apart from that all is good.

2mm shorter is no problem, you'll still have enough length on the splines to engage the transfer case.

Although I do have another query if that's ok ?
When you do the handbrake cable mod, what do you do to the bracket on the inside that bolts to the dash board strut?

Not sure if this filter is the right one?
Checked the pic in dannyboys thread and his seems to be more of a 90 Degree angle where as mine is more of a 45 degree.
So when mine is on the bottom it folds the filter up slightly?
Am I just not seein this right?

Update

So today I trial fitted the engine. I think I have it somewhere near but there are a few clearance issues.
In this pic you can see I have the sump resting in a bit of 3/4 inch ply, it's not got the whole weight on there just balancing. This is resting on the steering bar.

Update

So here I have the clearance between the headers and the steering column, it has to be somewhere near here because of the oil filter.

As you can see in the last pic it's pretty close!
But on the other side I'm also very close to the oil filter, I will turn the bolt around so I can just about change the oil filter.
