Engine bay ready to receive new heart..

Handbrake cable pulley re-fitted to the other side of bulkhead....

Doesn't seem a lot, but it makes a lot of difference. If you don't move it, the engine can't sit back far enough for the exhaust manifold flanges to clear the torsion bars, the steering shaft to clear the left hand manifold and get the radiator in.

I just love how spankingly clean you prep everything before you start, to me that says alot about your work.
If its not broke don't fix it.

Moving along nicely. I Was wondering what you did with the handbrake,
good job. Engine bay looks mint now, cant be easy cleaning all that
grime and muck out of all those nucks and crannys.

Merry christmas to you Vince, young Craig and Mrs Bushwhacker.
        Still on a mission.

And the same to you too Barry.

Have a think of how you want the exhaust tailpipes to look like and let me know A.S.A.P.
e.g. Twin pipes, one either side?
          Together in the middle?
Or one big one in the centre like Lexurf VI?
Through the bumper or under it?

          So many choices.

p.s. I haven't looked behind the dash yet, but are there any senders/sensors with those three digital gauges you've fitted?
And are they all temp gauges?

          Cheers.

I thought Lexurf VII looked spot on. If it comes back looking
and sounding like that, I'll be more than happy.

I thought I'd put the senders in the box of goodies in the back. If there not there, I've launched them along with the rest of the junk
            in my garage

There all temp gauges mate, coolant in the middle, engine and ATF oil either
            side.
            Still on a mission.

Even the front diff has mysteriously turned shiny black.

Not without losing the right hand battery and chopping a big lump out of the inner wing where the battery was.
                    Besides, they sound awfull........

If you want a supercharger, look out for a M90 from a Jaguar XJR/XKR.
They look the part and sound better. Plus power delivery is instant from idle, no lag.

p.s. Thats a M112 in the video by the way, couldn't find a decent sounding M90 video.

Great to see pics of the modification on the handbrake. I always wondered what was involved and how it ended up.
Another 1st Class extraction & engine bay clean up Vince. These shots still make me go "WOW!"

One either side through the rear bumper or side exits through the quarter panel bumpers, would get my vote.

Yup, we're going for that but with cut-outs in the bumper rather than holes.

Engine stripped for cleaning, painting, new waterpump, timing belt, bearings, distributor caps and rotors etc, etc.

                                New parts all fitted...

Thought I'd 'throw' the covers on to see what it's going to look like....
(Not sure about the blue top to the inlet manifold though, may just paint it all blue instead)

p.s. Not come across those temp sensors yet Barry.
