Supra lump into Surf?

Anyone know of this being acheived?

I only ask as there is a Supra turbo engine sitting idle in the workshop itching for a new home.

Im pretty much sold on the LS400 drivetrain as its tried and tested but thought Id ask out of interest - Im sure someone has said its too long for the engine bay but could make an interesting setup.

It has been done a few times in the past as the block is more compact than the diesel straight six. This was in the days before anyone realised the Lexus V8 would be easier to fit.

Was a suggestion at the workshop the other day as the engine is sitting there - just not sure I want to go down a route that much less travelled... plus Ive always wanted to own a V8!

Plenty of food for thought and ideas at the moment as the truck is pretty much a blank canvas the more I strip it down.
