Finally started the conversion, pulled the 2.4 engine this afternoon and it came out almost too easily! I know the rest of the project is not going to be easy though! There is not many treads covering this conversion, but the ones that I did find all said that it is not worth the hassle. I'm not doing this just because I want a 3.0L (that's part of the reason
), the 2.4 has always use excessive amounts of oil and the smoke is just getting embarrassing now!
Next job now is re-positioning the engine mounts on the chassis, I've not done much welding so tomorrow is going to be a learning curve, at least they are not in plain view!
