Anyone got any advise, and or stories to tell.

Just researching mine now, and ringing around a few local places. One blole scared me half to death going on about engineers reports & the fact it's still drum brakes on the back etc etc.

Is it easier to sort the log book out pre-test?

You can still get the MOT done as normal, sort the V5 out later. At least you can use the vehicle in the meantime.

V5C was my knightmere go to chester and speak face to face! i just needed a headed paper letter from a garage saying the engine number (just under thermostat) has been put in your toyota Chassis number and i think the V5C for the lexus and the surf and that should be it

it probably has been different for all of us!

out of interest O2 sensors vince, what reading do you get for 750 RPM and 2000 RPM? i have a wire form the dianostic port in the engine bay to the passenger side and connect it up to a multimeter so i can see what reading a get a different RPM it was orginally to see if LPG was runnig rich which it does to get the same power about 0.5-0.6V at 2800RPM 75MPHish petrol is about 0.25V same RPM?

Sounds like a faff!! I've only got the printout from the scrapyard left for mine. How'd you get on with fuelling (seen as both my vehicles were/are on an L-plate (93))? I know you've covered this Vince but couldn't find it

Seems the system is a bit subjective and needs a 'good' tester to carry out the test properly, or at least a well trained one like yours V.
