Thats just what I was thinking. The attention to detailing and the improvements and tweaks, I am sure it's been said time and again but Bushwhacker is doing fantastic work. It would be so much easier for him I guess to stick to the original blueprint for changing the engine but he seems to improve it each time.

As always, looks awesome, this is my fave colour sceme, it looks almost factory.

One thing that Intrigues me is the cutting of the slam panel.

I have done a fair few engine swaps on Toyotas (mainly supras, including a 1UZ into one) and have never had to cut a slam panel - as long as I can get enough height and the engine at enough of an angle.

I take it this approach is not possible with surfs? Is it because the transfer box adds so much length, or that the slam panel is simply so high?

Vince always does an immaculate looking job of re attaching it, but my welding leaves a lot to be desired

Two reasons why I cut it out....
Surfs are much higher off the ground compared to something like a Supra.
Limited height of the garage ceiling/lift of the hoist.

Have a question about the bonnet vents, where / what are they from? And were they awkward to cut the holes, fit and spray? I like the remote start too. They are so handy to have, either in the winter OR the summer as you can pre-set the heater or air con for when you need it
