To fit a Lexus V8 in a Surf without doing a body lift? If not, Is that steering link the only limiting factor?

And it started first flick of the key after I plugged the new ECU in.

Andy it is possible, but you'll need to modify the sump and suction tube inside to clear the relay rod and dick about with the radiator and fan as the space is tight because to engine will sit further forward without the body lift.

Would any of the other sump pans and pick up pipes work?

Yea, should have the job lot - sump pan, ally brace & oil pick up. Hopefully getting my soarer bits this wk. Away on hols Sun however, don't think im going to have chance to swap them over before i go

I'm in no rush at all, I'm still running around in my Lexus. I'm not 100% sure if I'll need them or not. I'll have a look around, on line, to see if there are any patterns or the likes.
