pre 1992 petrol cars have less to meet, 92-to 95 go by a official book, if a match isn't found its CO<=3.5% and HC<=1200ppm, after 95 the levels are tougher, being CO<=0.3% HC<=200ppm, which is almost impossible to achieve without a cat, or Running on LPG.
I think from 2001ish you HAVE to have cat fitted regardless.
Ooooo, that could be interesting then when it comes to doing a 3rd Gen .

          • Cut zorst pipe off at headers, pipe CO2 bottle into rear section of pipe. Engine bay smokes a bit but emissions are clear - 0% CO and 0% HC - tell inspector the CO2 bottle is a new wonder cat - job done!

                • Very very nice job!

Would the Toyota Tundra V8 engine fit too? Theres some 4.7l ones on fleabay - haven't seen any of the new 5.7l on there yet though. Under a grand for the motor + delivery... shame we don't get them over here...
