Right. Off to to Wales on Sunday. I have leads, drive belt, insurance and mot...but no tax. There wasn't a log book available for the surf. I've applied for one but dvla reckon at least another week. If I get nobbled by a copper for no tax on the way home, how much can I expect myself to be fined for?
Have you got enough of the hoops they want you to jump through to tax it online? You wont have a disc, but at least it wont set off the ANPR computers..
I reckon the police shouldall be sacked. Replace them with dvla...they can detect the utterly heinous crime of no road tax. The traffic wardens can deal with the murders and the like...possibly their own.
Edit: I'm not sure if I'm in the database yet. I'm only registered as the new owner from the 1st of august. See what happens.
