  • 3.0 single or twin belts?

    Hi all,

My surf went in for a service today with a box of goodies from Milners but I just got a phone call to say that they couldn't fit one of the belts (now they couldn't remember whether it was the alternator or power steering belt offhand as they weren't by the car) because I only supplied one and it looked too short whereas on my Surf it had two currently in place...

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is there a difference in the 3.0 engines that I missed? I'm afraid I can't be more descriptive as I'm not by the truck (a 94 KZN130).

It's going back next week for a full waxoil and having a towbar fitted so I can get the right parts in the meantime but I'm confused!

Milners have been getting the belt sizes wrong for over a year that I know of. It is most likely to be the Air Con belt thats wrong. If you do a search on Air Con Belt you will probably turn up the list of belt sizes that someone posted.

Good luck. I ended up buying the correct size from Toyota as the replacement that Milners sent me was also the wrong size.
    It's only a hobby!

Sounds like my problem. Thanks for the pointer.
