Where is the stat?

After draining coolant and refilling rad etc etc, I have been taking some advice from the forum about refilling and clearing air etc. I was advised to remove thermostat and fill. Only trouble is I am not sure where the stat is.
I looked on the 'showmesome' pages about coolant changing but I am presuming that the photo is of a 2.4l surf , mine is a 3.0l and the rad configuration is different. Someone mentioned that the stat was under the turbo, can anyone post a photo of the correct position of the stat. I have been out taking loads of photos of the engine bay but am unsure about
uploading them to this site, any clues?.

eeerm,i'm confused,doing mine on saturday,and thought the thermo seal was a re-usable rubber o ring,the thumbnail shows it as a nonreusable gasket,any ideas?

Yes it's a rubber gasket, but I always change it as they do get compressed a bit, and they only cost a couple of bob.
