A/T Oil Temp light.

Sometimes when my Surf is offroad, or on particularly hilly terrain, the A/T Oil Temp light comes on.
The A/T oil level looks right and the oil looks "clean".
If I turn the engine off and restart, the light goes off.

Is this a symptom of something serious ?

Just sounds like your ATF is getting a bit hot, which considering its happening during offroading on hilly terrain is hardly surprising considering the work its doing, and the gearbox is probably never in lockup. ATF cooler is pretty tiny. You maybe want to consider an additional external cooler. As long as its occasional and as long as you dont see overheating on your engine cooling system I wouldnt worry.

Engine coolant levels stay normal, so I will relax for now.
