  • Side Mirrors stolen

The side mirrors of a friends surf were stolen. We couldn't find the part from the official Toyota dealer. So we looked in another "shops" and they told us that they would bring us the mirrors. But they also added that a motor/mechanism for the power operation was stolen too and are asking top money for it.

Can you tell me if that part is really missing?

    Thanks,

looking at the spare one i got here, its just the mirror, the plastic that support the mirror, and 2 small plastic pieces that allow moving the lot, you still got the motor

Might be a silly thought but have you checked Ebay for Surfs being broken. I bought a door mirror for an LN03 for about 30 quid a couple of years ago.

no ebay here. but i found the mirrors. the people tried to rip me off by inserting a normal mirror into the holder frame. at the end, after a lot of argument they admitted the mirrors weren't genuine. at the end bought a pair of LC mirrors and then "chooped" (i dont know the word) the mirrors to fit the SUrf's frame. it looks original. Paid 1400birr (equivalent to almost usd70). after the hassle I faced, i am now removing my mirrors when I am about to leave it parked for a while.
