Hi folks, I was looking for a wee bit of advice. I had the coolant changed in my 1996 3.0 td about a month ago.
Today I noticed some gel deposits underneath the radiator cap and around the rim of the radiator. From what I can see the coolant in the radiator looks ok. There are some gel deposits on the inside wall of expansion bottle too but the coolant in the bottle looks ok.
I know that coolant colours/types are not to be mixed but the whole system had been flushed by my mechanic before it was refilled.
I'm not sure whether to have the coolant changed again or is this normal or am I being paranoid?
I should add that my truck runs great ,no overheating etc.
