Two minor problems - I'd be grateful if anyone can suggest cause or solution for either:
1. Won't start in wet weather - turning the key produces a 'relay' click as if a battery terminal's loose - but they aren't. After a number of failed attempts, typically the starter will turn weakly, then normally and start. Only happens when it's cold and damp.
2. Single puff of black smoke on morning startup (not serious enough to see from the driver's seat) and sooty tailpipe. No visible emissions for the rest of the day, usually.
