As of an hour everything is back together and she's running spot on. Only thing to do now is a replacement vacum pump, as the gear on this had slight damage to it's teeth also. I removed the gear and bolted the pump and ps pump back in, simply to seal her up and try her running. Over the moon with my 'joinery' skills swapping to mechanic skilks gor a few days. Not put my finger on an exact cause for the extreme damage to the timing gears. So open to debate....
