I've had an issue with my 1kz conversion ever since I first had it running. It cranks up fine, idles normally, then when I take off and it starts to get under load the CEL comes on and it feels extremely underpowered. It doesnt smoke, burn oil, compression is good, no leaks from the IP, but somethings just not right.
I've checked the FSM for the code 13, and the resistance is within spec, but the manual says the next step is to replace the entire IP... I've pulled and disassembled the pump, and I'm going to take it to an injection shop to check out today. They have already told me they cannot get the electronics for it, but I'm wondering if there is a way to get just the speed sensor?
Or if anyone has a good condition IP they want to sell..
