  • Wobble under braking...?

    Hi I,m back again....
I had the cambelt and tensioner done, fitted a new tow bar and roof bars and everything is going well.
Since buying my surf I have noticed a wobble when I apply the brakes, normally this would point to a warped disk, does anyone know of any others possible causes, as I don't want to splash out on parts if they aren't required?
    Cheers Andy.

When I have had similar issues it has always been down to wheel balancing and/or alignment. Get those checked out first. Good luck!

Get your front wheels in the air and check your wheel bearings.
      Non intercooled nothing.

Not a lot to go on is it really, you need to be more specific.

        Vibration felt through the floor?
Vibration felt through the brake pedal?
Vibration felt through the steering wheel?
        Whole truck 'shimmying' when braking?
        Front dampers in good condition?
What type and condition are your front tyres?

Thanks for all the input, the vibration is through the steering wheel. I will check underneath tomorrow.
          Cheers.

If trying wheel balancing first find somewhere that does lug centric balancing which uses an adapter to attach the wheel via the lug nut holes, mine where rebalanced this way after the normal hub centric way and it made a big difference.

Although I think your issue is discs.
