What's this?

It's hanging in the space between the air filter and injection pump. It has a bracket but it is not attached to anything at the moment.

Just wondering if it has any relevance to my injection pump probs?

They are VSV's for the front axle (ADD bit). They are usually fixed just under the air filter housing.

Shouldn't have anything to do with your problems, unless the vacuum hose to them is hanging off.
