Headlight Gremlings!!!

Help Needed please!
Got a problem with my headlights, they turn themselves on, mostly in the middle of the night and the only way to turn them off is by starting the truck
unable to start this morning as the batteries are nearly flat but i have left the keys in the ignition which has turned them off (ps the light switch is in the off position)
is this anything to do with the T BELT LIGHT coming on last week?

Usually a problem with the contacts in the switch.

Have you got an immobiliser/alarm fitted? (Professionally fitted)
Have the electrics under the bonnet been doused in water recently?

Have you got a 2nd or 3rd gen? There isn't a 1995 kzn185.

is a 1996 3rd gen
Noting has got wet but did find that a side light was out!
is it possible that the filiment has burnt out and causing a short?
or do you think it maybe a relay problem?
took this out tonight so dont have to jump start in the morning

Did you manage to fix this or find the problem? I've got the same issue with my Gen 3, headlights suddenly starting coming on with no one in the truck, freaked me out at first I've changed the relay and that does not help. If you switch the lights on and then off on the switch, they stay off for a while then later they come back on again.

It's driving me nuts, had me up at 2am this morning as they wore the battery down which resulted in the alarm going off every 5 minutes.

A 3rd gen wouldn't be registered as a '95 over here though
