Heated fuel filter

If I fit a non standard heated fuel filter instead of the current one, is there anything that I need to be wary of? In other words, if it's fitted properly, will it work correctly without issues?

It will work, but doesn't that type need warm coolant going through it to make it actually heat the fuel?
I would have thought you would need the fuel to be warm before you start the engine. How about getting one of those door mirror heating elements as well and wrapping it around that fuel heater with an illuminated switch on the dash to turn off once the engine has warmed up?

Yeah, the intention would be to divert the coolant through it.

Would the element be sufficient to heat the fuel as it passes? Could you wrap it on the pipe just before the inlet so it gets warm fuel immediately?
