ATF level?

Hi guys after driving home from work (about 1.5 miles) parked the truck and got some kitchen paper to check the atf level, so started the truck and moved from park back through to drive ect then back to park holding for a few secs in each and the level was at the bottom of the 2 hot marks, so how many ml of atf fluid is needed between the 2 marks as im thinking I need to top it up a bit? Also can I put in any atf or should it be the same as the garage put in at the last service?

Add about half a litre & use dextron III. "the garage should have used that grade"

Run it again & check it, should be spot on at that.

1.5 mls wont be enough to get the tranny oil up to temp so you will get a false reading.
check it after a decent run.

Yeah, the official line is 20mins of driving.
